Arms and shoulders

arms and shoulders anatomy

The trapezius and serratus anterior are muscles that move the shoulder and arm. The humerus is connected to the pectoralis major, latissimus dorsi, deltoid, and rotator cuff muscles, which move the arm. The shoulder blade, upper arm bone (humerus), forearm bones (radius and ulna), wrist, fingers, and thumbs are all connected by arm muscles.

The muscles in this group are responsible for movement in the elbow joint, forearm, wrist, and fingers.

The shoulders are good for lifting heavy objects and for playing sports. During exercise, you’ll also be less likely to injure yourself. Having lots of upper body muscle mass can indicate strength and well-being.
